My cousin is currently an army doctor serving in the Baghdad hospital in Iraq.

He called my a few days ago knowing that I will be enlisting after I graduate from high school. He told me a story of what happened to him the day before he called.
He told me of addressing a gun wound to a Marine Lcpl. He asked the the man what he would once he returned stateside to be decommissioned do to injury, assuming that the man would want to return home and stay there.
The Lcpl. replied without missing a beat, "hell no I ain't going back until I get that SOB back and put a bullet between his eyes."
My cousin told me that joining the Marines will be the best thing I ever do because he does not know anyone with more determination than that Lcpl.

That story just makes me more anxious to join and become apart of the legacy known as the United States Marine Corps.
