i really dont get it, but yet i do. Its one of the things that no matter how hard i thuink about it, i dont understand it, but yet i understand it completely.

This goes for infantry especially. But how do you guys put up with fellow citizens that cause you anger and stress and still for their freedom and defend them? I mean, especially now, in war for the infantry, do you ever think abut the people who you are defending while you're getting shot at? This is a small problem for me because i have 8 months until boot, but i dont understand why these next 8 months have to be the worst of my life. every time someone is an ******* to me or treats me like im "less" than they are, i always think, "so this is the ******* im going to put my life on the line for?". I havent been to war yet so i really dont know but for any infantry retired or enlisted Marines do you guys ever think about that stuff while you're in combat? Do you ever think, "oh this could be the end for me, and im here because i need to defend that person who did so and so that really pissed me off". Especially with my school teachers, my math teacher specifically has it in for me and i keep thinking, this ***** is going to fail me every chance she gets and make my last year so much harder and stressful than it should be, and yet im going to defend her in 8 months. Do you guys ever think about this stuff or regret even enlisting because of *******s like this?

What relevance does this have to do with recruiting? Someone please lock down this thread, and tell Rainman to go away.

well for one, this has nothing to do with recruitment but last time i posted in USMC Infantry, i was told WANNABES post in the WANNABE section. Well, im not enlisted until april, so that would make me a wannabe, and to keep the peace, i did what i was told but i guess the rules have changed.

Hollywood that is a prime example of what im talking about. My main question was do you(as in the actual Marines who fight in combat) ever think to yourselves about the people(who treated you badly or you who are ungrateful for your you are fighting for and risking your life for? Now its kind of hard to explain without something to actually show you what i mean but i can only do so much on an internet forum. But this happens to me alot, someone will do something to me and i will get very upset and i think "and this is the guy i will be risking my life for in several months". Dont you get pissed off when you are fighting for your country and there are those people in your country who are ungrateful like the people who protest the war and dont support the troops. idk how to explain it if no1 here ever was in battle in a war

Why are you pissing about the few people who did you wrong? That is the wrong thinking....Fight for the good you find in our country....Fight for your Brother Marines......If you don't know why, don't go into the Military.

I don't like the protest...and I believe they are costing American lives, but we fight for their right to speak, because one day I may need to stand on the corner and make an As$ of myself and I want to be able to do just that....
