Well i was wondering. from the female Marines.. what jobs did you have? and how much did you like them? whats the closest a girl can get too the frontlines? and what jobs would you recommend to be best for a women? thanks :]
The only thing we can't do is any mos that is direct combat related such as infantry or artillery. Now there are women who are assigned to division units as part of their headquarters like admin and ammo, but unless you are going on a female search in a combat zone, you will not be allowed to do any grunt work. But F.Y.I., any job overseas is the "front line." Support elements go on supply convoys constantly to deliver stuff to the grunts in F.O.B.'s They are just as susceptible to i.e.d's and getting shot at. Pretty much just about all jobs are open to females with the exception of infantry, artillery, counter intel HUMINT, and I know I am missing one more. But trust me, unless you are admin, you will go on convoys overseas. I myself was an ammunition technician and got to go on convoys in Afghanistan. I even had two females in my units who got assigned to a grunt company out there to conduct female searches.
