I am wondering why it is that the Marine Corps can't guarantee me a specific MOS, and branches like the Navy and Air Force can?

I don't want to join any other branch but the fact is, if I choose a job in aviation I am basically rolling the dice for 10 other jobs under that specific MOS category. That bugs me.

You need to get familar with a phrase... "Convenience of the Government". That means you work for them, where they need you.
