Is what I have been hearing from a bunch of my friends who are in the ARMY.
A bit of info about myself: 20 years old, a semester away from my associates, and currently debating on whether or not I want to finish up a degree in criminal justice before I join the Corps. Not that it would really matter, as I wouldn't want to go in as an officer, but would prefer to just go in as an e-whatever I would get with some college credits. Ground combat is my area of choice.
Anyway, among those in the army that are telling me no, I even have friends who are Marines that tell me not to. They say that the living quarters are crap, and that their day to day routine sucks.
What I have to wonder though, is did they go into the military thinking it would be an easy way out? That the military was there just because they flunked out of college? Of course it's going to be work, but in my mind, it's all worth it, especially if you're one of the best.
