Opps, I'm on a 96 and going to go fishing in the north woods...I hate Lake Erie, it has too many dead fish in it.

What is your opinion on civilians wearing a standard military haircut? Do you feel it is something services members earn when they enlist? After all, I am sure most service members at time needed a nice shave.
Dude... this being your first post, you are on your way on pi$$ing most of us off with your freggin poll. Delete the poll, and just ask!
With that being said, I prefer a clean cut look over a skater/surfer/rock band hair style. Below is a quote I read on a T-shirt, from a shop in Oceanside...
"Real men don't waist their hormones letting their hair grow."
Haha I wasn't saying I care. I wouldn't even be allowed to have a say since I am not in the military. I was just wondering because I've heard some people complain before and was wondering if it was a common thing or not.
Not that it matters but I was wondering because if it was a pride thing to people then I'd make sure I didn't wear one.
krygiern88, after Boot Camp High and Tites are a option not a requirement. I never got one after Boot Camp, does that make me less of a Marine in your eye's son? Second, you not one of yet son don't act like your back on the block even though you are....

Understood that they are not a requirement, nor specific to the Marines. I was just looking for the opinion of Marines, because that is the one that matters to me.
No I never said not wearing that hair style was a determining factor of ones dedication to the Corps.
I don't understand what you mean by acting like I am back on the block even though I am.
Back on the Block, means you in the Hood with you Homies. Drinking Colt 45's see all the Hoo's
Show us some respect Son, or....... If you think I'm being mean, well this is nothing compared to the day you step on the yellow foot prints. Asking us to fill out a poll was a very disrepectfull thing to do, YOUR not one of US, YET......
Oh, you did not answer my question. Am I less of Marine in your eye if did not have a High and Tite after Boot Camp??????.....
I do Hollywood , Im actually talking to a recruiter at the local officer selection station about getting a medical waiver so I can do PLC this summer, otherwise I'll have to wait until my condition is acceptable.
I just explore all possible options. If I'm going to make a decision about 8 years of my life, I need all the intel I can get.
A while back, I remember a Wannabe asking us, "What's the difference between the Army and Marines?" Which one of us replied "We're bigger a$$holes." I'm just giving you a better perspective of who we are, and what you are getting yourself into.
I know one of my good buddies is a Marine. Hes quite the character haha.
And Mr.Hansen, I did answer your question. I said that ones haircut is not a determining factor of their dedication to the Corps. Meaning no, your hair style does not determine your "gung ho level".
No I don't think you guys are mean. Just straight forward. Which is good.
To be honest after reading numerous blogs and journals of Army basic, watching videos of basic and deployments, it seems like a summer camp almost. I get the feeling that I would have fun there.
While researching bootcamp, I see it as one hell of a challenge that isn't going to be fun or easy.
I know I don't know first hand what I am talking about, but with the abundance of information available I can make an educated opinion.
To be honest Hollywood I like you. In an Internet, man to man kinda way. "Look up to" is maybe a better phrase?
You will never catch me dead wearing a high and stupid.
Should you successfully become a Marine, however, I invite you to conduct this experiment. Get done up with your high and tight, slacks, polo shirt tucked in, and rocking those BCG's and see if the chicks turn out.
