I did a search for the title of this post and was not able to find something helpful.
How hard is it to get waivers for PLC? The reason I ask is I have had a few injuries, a few mental health problems and a couple run ins with the law. Medical: Shattered knuckle had pins put in and removed a few years back. It is now at 100% operating capacity. Torn achilles tendon in left leg multiple times resulting in a collapsed foot. Had my achilles lenghtened and had an internal othodic installed in my foot. THe surgery was a year ago and I can run now. My best mile time now is 7 min 30 sec. Broken wrist. It is at 100%. Had to get stitches twice due to cuts. Mental I was sexually assaulted as a child and had ptsd and depression as a result. Went to therapy and have finished it. Was misdiagnosed with ADD and was on ritalin and other meds. I have been off those drugs for years. Legal I was arrested for shoplifting as a kid. Cited for disturbing the peace. As an adult I was charged with Malicious destruction of property, assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon. I was only convicted of carryng concealed and had to see a therapist for anger management. |

Your best bet would be to contact your local OSO (Officer Selection Officer) and discuss it with them.
You can have an OSO get in touch with you if you fill out this form. http://officer.marines.com/page/Officer-Request-More-In...ation.jsp?idKey=3421 Also, http://officer.marines.com has general information about the various programs that are open to potential candidates. |

To quote an OSO that briefed our unit once, "Everything is waivable." HOWEVER the more you need waived, the HARDER it will be to get selected for Officer Training. Anymore and you are DQ'd. |
