I am a Marine who knows I want to be an officer, but not an officer in the Corps. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of anybody who has done the BOOST program, and applyed for another service academy? Where they able to transfer services while at the academy? For example if I go through BOOST and apply for the Coast Guard Academy afterwards and get selected can I transfer into the Coast Guard from there? Would it work the same way with the Merchant Marine Academy?

I don't know if you can do BOOST and go to USCGA, but I do know that there are cadets and middies who do cross commissioning to other services.
Have you contacted USCGA to see if you can get selected straight from the (USMC) ranks?
