When I was 19 I wanted to join the Marines really bad. I had a drug trafficking charge and this made me not able to join. I got a 68 on the ASVAB, my recruiter said not to tell and just take the ASVAB and he would take care of the charge and so forth. So I went to MEPS, was in great shape, and then a month later he said there was nothing he could do! So I went to the other branches and was rejected from all of them. I felt like this is what I really wanted to do, to serve my country and get discipline. I've accepted my fate, but I'm kind of depressed because I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative to the military where I can get the discipline, physical, and respect I am looking for?

This is not an appropriate question for this forum. This forum is for helping future Marines. It is not a forum to help former drug traffickers, looking for a new career. Roll Eyes

Teach yourself discipline, it's not something anyone can give you. With discipline you get physical exercise, and respect is earned.

You don't have to be bitter just because someone is giving you a hard time.

On the serious side, hey it's your f*** up, deal with it and move on. The military is a closed deal for you. You have to prove yourself worthy elsewhere.

Now you know that all those warnings about drugs (i.e. doing them, dealing them) weren't full of it!

Live on and learn your discipline elsewhere.

The fruity one in this thread is you "Fish!" Yeah, you know what I am talking about. Too bad you weren't rolled up in my area. Trust me, you'll be back behind bars. Fuck ups like you have no common sense, and always get caught.
