Reserve Artillery wont exsist much longer, several Battalions have been shut down already. There is a good chance that you will go to Iraq and an even better chance that you wont take your Big Guns with you, most units are being turned into Provincial MP's/Truck Plts or Civil Affairs/CAG shiat. Other than that its a great MOS

Im not arty but I do believe that one of the first units to get the HIMARs systems was a reserve unit.

MOS 0802, Field Artillery Officer (I)

a. Summary. Field artillery officers command, or assist commanders in directing field artillery units. You have to swim with an DPICM round 300 yards, then sidestroke with with a gun sight held above the water then....... No just kidding. My wife says I'm a smart azz. As long as you pass swim qual in boot camp you can be anything you want.
