Basic Training |
Well, first off i have been doing research for quite some time. I have come to a conclusion on what i want to be, however theres a little confusion in my mind after reading these posts. The confusion is, are marine Infantry training all day every day. The posts i have been reading makes it seem likes infantry have no life at all. I would like some clarification on that. I've read the post by Hollywood marine, on life as an infantry but theres still some confusion.

Ok, you seem to be new, so let me give you a hand. Always spell Marine with a capital M. You will learn this quickly, because the Marines will jump on you. Second, apologize when they tell you to. Even if you think they are wrong, just do as they say. You will not win an arguement with these guys so don't start one. I have been chewed out by these guys plenty of times, so don't think you are the first and you definately won't be the last. Last but not least, never disrespect these guys or any military member on this website. They are fighting for our freedom. They are giving many sacrifices that you and I can't even comprehend. You have done nothing, I have done nothing. They have!

Well yes poole08 thats true they deserve respect for fighting for our country, but also they can get that respect tooking away from them, just because they take a couple bullets for their country or give their lives(GOD BLESS THOSE WHO HAVE) dosent mean we have to respect them..do you see how hollywood marine talked to that wannabe just because he didnt call him mr...thats not right..this isnt actual bootcamp..for goodness sake....you have to earn respect...and hollywoodMarine dosent get it from me...just because you fight for your country dosent mean you can treat people any kind of way...expecially not future recruits..i kno somebodys going to come along and try and so called " CHEW ME OUT ".. but who gives a rats( curse word ).. you guys should lightin up....just looka t yourselfs...this isnt recruit training..

If you really want to make a difference, stop hiding behind your uncle, drop the attitude and ebonics, and forget enlisting in MY Marine Corps. Sooner or later, you will get the hint and say "Yo Foo!
