Can you get a tatoo while in the DEP, as long as it is not offensive or shows outside the uniform? I turn 18 soon, and i would like to get one before i graduate and leave for Bootcamp. If theres a waiver process for it, or causes problems then i'll wait, but i'd like to get one before highschool is over if i can.

no , when you sign your contracts they have 10 things that u you cant do , one of them was getting a tattoo , get one before you sign up

I suggest just wait untill after boot camp.

If you start boot with some Marine type tat, the DIs will rip you a new one...and if you don't make it through boot then you can lie to all your buds that you were a Marine....see my tattoo...
