Dependent upon what you did, there is a possibility you may still get in because we're currently in the middle of a shooting war where policies tend to be a bit more lax. Waivers are indeed granted on a case by case basis so prepare for the worst and pray for the best.
If for some reason your waiver isn't granted, there is always the Army and the National Guard who are recruiting heavily because their enlistments are down. If you do well and successfully complete your enlistment, you can always reapply to the Corps with a better chance of getting in because you've got a current track record of military success. However, don't be surprised if you stay Army or National Guard because they're both outstanding fighting organizations whose warriors continually get it done and rewrite rich military histories of nothing but success. Make no mistake, they're not just good, they're the best at what they do and we Marines are proud of them for it. Also understand there is no room for any further lawlessness in any military service and they'll bounce you out at the blink of an eye. Make sure you're fully dedicated and totally committed to an exacting warrior lifestyle before you begin this process or you're just setting yourself up to fail. Best of luck to you all. |
