I have a little question on my mind maybe you guys could help me with. I ship off to Parris Island September 2, I turn 18 September 7 and I was wondering about whether or not I can register to vote and cast a ballot while im at boot. I know its not a huge deal but it was just on my mind. Every vote for McCain is gonna be needed so id like to help out a bit.

I know for a fact that you can cast an absentee ballot while at boot camp, but I must admit I'm not sure how you would register. Your best bet might be to try and find out from your state what the procedure would be. Hopefully they will have some way that you can either pre-register, or at least have the forms filled out before you leave and just have your family turn them in after your 18th birthday has passed. If you do get some useful information, please come back here and post it so others in your situation might have an easier time in figuring it at. Good luck.
