Hello everyone, My name is Cornell I've asked a few questions on here before but I mostly just read the answers to other peoples questions. I wanta thank all the Marines for their patience and willingness to help us poolies. I've been in the DEP since June 24 now those yellow footprints are only 2 weeks away. I get excited just typing this since June all I've wanted is the opportunity to earn the title of United States Marine.
You are about to experience something that is profoundly different from what you are used to. Life as you know it is about to get flipped 180 degrees and you will be made to push yourself to a point that you didn't even know existed.
But with that said, Boot Camp is the easiest thing you will ever do in your Marine Corps Careers. You will probably sooner or later find yourself in the streets of Iraq or the mountains of Afghanistan, doing what Marines do best.
Put out, never quit, strive to better yourself. And check back in here when you graduate. Good Luck.
Give it your best everyday and keep your eye on the prize. Our Title is never just given out, and it takes a lot of sweat and determination to get there. Best of luck to you all.
OK NOW I'm ****ED! I talked to my recruiter today, he said there was a typo and I'm really supposed to ship Nov. 3. I'm still psyched but I've got two extra weeks to wait now! I guess it gives me more time to PT harder. I'm at 18 pull-ups max right now so I could use the time to get to 20. BTW, I have a vest adjustable from 1-20lb that I run with but I was wondering if it's a good idea to do pull-ups with it.
