It didn't hit me till we drove over the main gate and I looked down and saw a CPL with a loaded 45 on his hip. I thought oh sh it I've fuc ked up this time. These boys aren't playing.

20yrs and I remember boot camp like it was yesterday.

Just watch the planes land and take off,and keep in mind the next time you leave San Diego you'll be a Marine,on fire watch at night on the 3rd deck you can see the numbers on the carriers lite up....kinda cool.....and what ever you do,Dont fall asleep in the series commanders class.....one of many things i learned.
