I did some exercises at my last poolie funtion and my recruiter said we did these things in bootcamp. He said it was called the daily 12 or 16. We did something called sungods(i think thats the name), steemengines, leg lifts, leg splitters, flutter kicks, mountain climbers etc. I was wondering what exercises are done in boot camp such as the ones i stated. I also wanted to know if there is any list of exercises explaining how to do them/correct way. We did the exercises in a 3 count. example 1,2,3 (1) 1,2,3, (2) is this the correct way.

Its not a three count it is a four count. Three are the cadence and the fourth is the repition. Push ups, and crunches, also unoffical pull-ups. Damn, can think of it, some other devil will come up with the name( i think they called it Jack webs) you start on you knees and fall foward until you are in a girls-push-up position, and than you push up until you are back on you knees. you do all of this in one motion. and that is one, then you do the motion again for twice and than you are at two-repetions, than you do the whole motion three times and then you are at 3 reps...so on and so. you usually do up to 15 or 30 of them.

You also have star-jumpers. You start out in the P.O.A. and bend at you knees until you are in a ball. at that point you jump from that postion and you spread you arms and legs out like a star when you are in mid air. Land, get into the P.O.A. and repeat.

You also have 8-count body-builder-pushups. Ask you recuiter how to do these, I not quite sure on how to explain this in words.

also you have bicycle-cruches, you touch the right-elbow to the left knee while the right leg is strait out, then you extence you left leg out while bring you rigt knee up to touch you left elbow. When you are doing it you legs look like the are pedaling an invisible bicycle.

there are a few other I cant think of right now but I sure some other Marines will post them.

Now that i think about it we did the bicycle crunches not the flutter kicks. We did do the 8-count pushups to. squat down, put hands in front of feet then jump out to pushup position, then do down up, down up, then jump back into the squat position with the hand in front of feet and finally stand up. something like that. we did 20 of those. some stuff we did didn't seem hard like holding your arms out and moving them in circles clock and counter clockwise in three positions_ infront of you, above your head, and extended from side. the next day i was hurting.
