Who would have thought that he'd be doing this in less than 3 months after his injuries? We are so thankful that he's doing so well.

Unreal. I would never have done that even before my injuries. Me and open heights don't mix. Eek

Unbelievable!!!!! Were you holding your breath? Of course, you do know that you just cannot keep a good man down. How thankful for the amazing recovery and for an amazing God who is keeping watch over him.

God bless him and you, but has he lost his mind? My feet stay on the ground! Now my kids would do it, I bet your heart was flying!

I am thrilled beyond words at his adventurous spirit and amazing recovery. However, I am resuming my quest for more bubble wrap. HOW did you ever watch this? I found myself holding my breath just looking at the pictures. Makes me want to get the fly swatter and go after him. Now I know why most of my kids conversations between themselves begin with, "don't tell Mom, BUT..." Seriously, I'm thrilled he can do this, still wouldn't want to watch it, thrilled just the same! Thank God!

Just so you all know I was not there!!!! My heart was racing as i looked at the pics myself. But at the same time I knew he was in good hands going on this trip. He went fishing, camping and rockclimbing. He also went on a canoe. I am so proud of him and yes it is unbelievable how fast he is healing. He is attending a Dodger/Padre game today and next week he'll be off to Sacramento for more fishing and fun. I'll be waiting here patiently.

Faithful...is it ok to say "OMG" after looking at those pictures. I just don't know what to say other than tell him "congratulations" on the climb...... isn't that the most marvelous thing to see. Bless his heart..... you raised a child with determination and inner strength to endure all he has in the past few months.
Tell him "WELL DONE!!!"

Right on, I'm so glad that he is obviously getting out and doing things. That is going in the right direction.

Guess what!!!!! He took his first steps yseterday!!!! Man this guy is something else!!! He had to use a prothetic that wasn't even his because his wasn't complete yet, and yet he didn't want to stop walking. Good thing the Physical Therapist were there to hold him back from trying to run!!!! He tries on his own prosthetic today!!!! so EXCITED HERE. Almost forgot, his trip to Sacramento, he played softball and went water skiing, said it was alot of fun, and attended a formal dinner with shirt and tie required Wink Can't wait for the pics.

During basic training, faithful and I started corresponding via foxtrot website. And after our sons graduated, Jesse was stationed close to our home and I had the privilege to meet both faithful and Jesse before he left for Iraq.
Yes, his recovery is amazing but if you ask him I know he will give all the credit to the Lord. With all that said all I can say is - Jesse, Keep up the good work, you are an encouragement to us all and for my husband and I knowing you and your family has been a real blessing. And yes, I agree, this is one story that needs to be shared - looking forward to that book!!!!

Thanks Jean, but I can't take all the credit for this, He has an awesome relationship with Christ and we make sure that all the Glory goes to HIM. I am a proud Momma!!!
