Well Jason is Stationed in Japan. We will finally get to use this Service. Our Boxes are on the way. Not soon enough with His Birthday and the Holidays coming up. May God Bless Our Soldiers, Watchover Them and Keep Them Safe.
LOL Seattle - boy have I learned how to "pack a box full"!! Daughters company collected a "few things" for sons CB unit -- she'sent 16 boxes so far with another 30 to go out this week!! I've learned to open alot of the boxes and put bulky things in ziplock bags, for more space. (Just don't put in "fake snow" like I did-- it leaks out the sides!! LOL/ ended up unpacking everything, repacking,,and putting the "snow" in another ziplock bag). NavyMom in RI
Our boxes showed up today. Now if we can get an address from Jason, we can start sending stuff to Him. Everytime He goes to the post office the person in charge of opening new accounts isn't there. Jason said hopefully Monday He will be able to get an address.
We got an address and the package is off. The Post Office messed me up, they sent a box in our kit that was not flate rate and I didn't notice it until the Postal lady said that will be $22.00 to ship. She pointed out the box didn't have the flate rate sticker on the side. So back home I went to get the right box. We saved $14.00 shipping just that one box over regular shipping.
Thank you so much for this information.I have been trying to get a package to my son inlaw for 2 weeks.Everytime I go over to the post office I am told this or that is missing or wrong. With your help I now have everything I need with out all of the hassel. Thanks again V.

I sure did appreciate seeing your post of free shipping info.. My son, who is going to Iraq in Feb will need "stuff from Mom" but will really appreciate the "stuff" from his 4 kids(ages 7-3) and from his wife. I sure could use a Mom support site..I made it through the Afghanistan tour 2 yrs ago and was able to support my daughter in law..but I think I need another support group to help talk me through this tour to Iraq. Any suggestions welcomed. 1st Lt's mom
thank you so much for that link. my hubby said its taking aobut 6 days for mail to get there. Now i have a question. Can anyone send him care packages thru any ole post office if the CP is going to iraq or does it have to be mailed thru a PO on base?
I have yet to use the link. I just log into the PO website and order my boxes, labels and customs forms 50 at a time and usually get them in 5 business days. It's FREE and FREE is good!
In ten weeks I have sent her 37 boxes not counting Christmas presents. Gosh is she spoiled!
Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes are currently taking 12 days to Afghanistan (Kabul). Before too long it should be back down to the normal of 8 days.
I got the military kit...I used it all...I asked for other one...plus I asked for boxes in the USPS website...now I have boxes to send packages for at least 2 years.lol
Glad to have you with us!! Sometimes our little groups gets "quiet",,,but most of us check in and out every day,,,so tell us a little about yourself. NavyMom in RI
