My mother passed away. Totally unexpectedly. Very peacefully, during a nap.

My boy was home for awhile because of it. He's on his way back to Georgia now. I hate that it's so quiet. I'd forgotten how happy and loud it was when all 3 boys are here.

I don't like this growing up thing at all.

Hello,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope your days get brighter soon.

My son is also going to be a medic. He's in basics now at Ft. Benning, then off to Texas. My house is too quiet as well.

Your in my thoughts,

Debbie

I was just listening to a program last night on my Christian station about ways to help/cope/celebrate the whole "empty nest syndrome".....course it's a faith-based book, don't know if you're interested, but if you are, send me an email (my screen name@yahoo.com) and I'll give you the name of the book and the authors. They're just 2 mom's who wrote it, no PHD's or anything like that. Wink
They have some interesting ideas, and their husband's contributed to the book as well. Smile

Just a thought. Smile

Thank you all. It's not quite an empty nest yet. My littlest is 14 and just started high school. I think it's worse for him. His two older brothers got married and left for the Army within months of each other. Now suddenly he's pretty much an only child.

Montyna: I dont comment often, just read the forum, but I can understand your loss also, my mother and father are both gone, suddenly. My one son is in college, and other son in the sandbox. Now my husband has left me..So I guess time will heal..My main prayer is son returns safely fron Iraq. Hang in there..
