My son left for Fort Benning on January 7. He recently relayed that we could write him using his company and battalion numbers at 9075 Holcomb Drive at Fort Benning.

The Fort Benning website lists something totally different for sending mail. Can anyone tell me if we have mailed birthday cards and letters to the wrong place?

Thank you!

The address he gave you is the address you should be using. This is where the recruit mail goes. I don't know if they will forward the mail over to him from wherever you sent it. I'm sure this happens all the time though because everybody wants to write to their soldier before the official address is given out. If he doesn't get the letters and cards by graduation then he could go over to the main post office on base and ask if they have anything for him.
