I was reading on Navy.mil (it's an offcial site-but not sure if they'll allow the link, can I mods, please?) the Sesame Street characters are doing a free tour on 40 military bases through nov.
Here's the real question: Anyone know how to find out what bases those are? Since we're not attached to a "real command" I doubt they even have a clue its occuring. We're about an hour from Leavenworth, But I'd be willing to drive for the kids if it were to go there (It would be the same amount of driving for me to go to KC and see Sesame Street live and pay for it). |

Never mind I found the schedule. Should have used goolge first. The schedule itself is not on an Official page, but a Sesame Street one. So, if you're interested in the schedule email me

No, Sorry hun. Not coming to Leavenworth, either, but they will do 2 shows at Fort Riley so we may head down there. Not sure though, it's a lot farther |

Catherine you will need to plan ahead! They are here (Carson) next weekend. The show is specifically geared at children with parents who are deployed-and the tickets are free-but DONT drive to riley unless you have tickets-there were to be two shows here-those tickets were gone in half a day-and they added two more-and those were gone as fast. (I dont have children in that age group-but i work on post and get the post email distros).

I didn't think that they would. It costs a lot to get out here. It would be nice if they would do an overseas ones especially Okinawa since it is a high deployment area. Maybe in the next few years they will get something out here. Luckily Kadena has a very put together deployment network. The Airman and Family Readiness Center here really does their job!
Thanks for the info on it. I have some friends back home that may be interested. |

Write a letter/email to the USO about it. They are the ones that help do programs like this. If they won't do that then see if they will sponsor some tickets to Disney on Ice, Dora, etc...that do shows in the major overseas cities. My cousin used to skate with them and they went throughout Asia, Europe, South America, etc...
