Hello all!

I have not been on here in a VERY long time (at least a good year or so), however, my man and I are still dating (almost 4 years now) and he just got deployed.

I really want to send him Garretts Popcorn but am not sure how I should package it so that it can get there and still be good and fresh!

Any ideas, please?! (and p.s. sorry if this discussion is in the wrong forum, thanks)
Alyssa

Does their website not ship to APO/FPOs? If they do ship, I would just order it online from them.

No, unfortunately it says on their website that they do not ship to APOs. I'm very angry about that, but oh well, not much I can do. I know a lot of you have shipped cookies and such over before, I'm just wondering how you packaged them to stay fresh?

Again, thanks so much

I've sent cookies, bagels, pretty much everything. I put just a few of each in a small zip lock bag. Then put a bunch of the small zip lock bags in a big zip lock bag. Sometimes he would get a moldy bagel or two, but usually most were edible.

I found some plastic containers (similar to rubbermaid) at CVS for $1 (12x8x3). I can fit a whole sealed package of cookies in it and the cover will still close air tight. Then that fit in a flat rate box. The container is reusable for him to keep future goodies sent to him fresh and the bugs out.

You can probably use the disposable containers too. I would probably bag up the popcorn into a bag, then put the bag/bags in the air tight container. It should be okay.

Hello ladies!

Thank you so much for your input. I actually sent the popcorn a while back and it got there pretty quickly. He said it was fine, all I did was let them package it up at Garretts in one of their tins and shipped it over in a box. He said it was good so I'm not gonna argue.

Woohoo!
Thanks again
