My Dear Friends,

I learned a long time ago, from my mother, to live life with no regrets. Never do something you can’t undo and never say anything you can’t take back. She raised me proper with all the manners, etc. I have lived many years with only one regret and that is about to change.

I came here a couple of years ago looking for information for a loved one. I didn’t know a damn thing about the military and I’m not that much further along than when I started. But what I take with me is priceless. I have made many friends…Friends that I hope one day to meet.

I want to start by thanking a few people. Kurt, Dave, Gerry, Glenda, Achseh, Someone_Else, Mustang, Tony, Stephanie, KK, Melissa and of course, Angelina. You folks have touched my life whether it’s with your friendship, advice, good ol’ conversation and/or your hearts. Thank you.

I have been blessed with the best team of Moderators anyone could ask for! You have come together over the last two years, seen many changes and made this forum what it is today. To my girls in the Spouse House…The five of you have trusted my guidance from the start. You do a damn fine job and I hope to have you around for years to come.

NWIP-We started together and have seen a lot. The knowledge and experience you share is priceless.

Mrsjvb-You do an awesome job! Keep it up!

BAW-You and Bobby have been a great inspiration to me. And how can I not laugh when you tell me to “Put yer teeth back in Boss!”

Pollo-When you came on board, you questioned every decision you made and yet I backed every one of them. Bringing you aboard was one of MY best decisions!

And Mom-probably the biggest heart on this forum. I know where I’d be if it weren’t for you and I like it here better. The world needs more people like you and your husband. Thanks for always being there.

Rob-What can I say? The hours upon hours that we spent on the phone have given me not only the knowledge to do my job effectively, but the security of friendship and the courage to continue with my dreams. Thanks for the offer to pick this up when I return. Thanks for believing in me.

Enough of the mushy crap and on to what needs to be said. For several years now, I have been pursuing a dream. For many years, my unhealthy teeth prevented me from moving forward. Then I was too old. Once the max age changed, I put it off for a wedding, then so she could join the Navy and finally for her deployment.

It’s time to do something for me for a change and something I have been working very hard towards. I have decided to step down as Rob’s assistant and leave the forums to pursue my dream. What I feel I leave behind is hope, strength, happiness and faith. In turn, I take the same with me…from all of you.

On Friday, Sept. 7th, I leave to serve my country in the U.S. Army as an 88M and will be attending BCT at Ft. Benning.
