Not sure what to say or how to say it all. The news today in Sadr City has me in panic. My husband is there and this is his first deployment. I haven't heard anything and I guess no news is good news (for me - my thoughts and prayers are with the fallen) but the reality has settled in. Just as I have become used to his absence, I feel at a loss. I am currently living in London, England and worry that if anything ever did happen no one would contact me, they have my details but the fear is not being in the US will some how make it harder to find me. I've been crying all day, pathetic I know, but I am honestly worried and scared, I have family and friends but no one understands this process, they are supportive but they just don't know what to say. I know some of you have been through this, what did you do? how do you do it? I admire you all ... thank you. xx
Honestly watching the news is the worse thing you can do to yourself. They will get ahold of you if something happens. try not to freak out and I am sure he'll call you as soon as he can.

If his command, FRG, etc have your contact information on record there should not be a problem finding you. You may want to contact the FRG just to make sure they know you and where you are.
We can't be strong 24/7/365. You will have meltdowns along the way. As long as you don't allow it to overwhelm you things are okay. If you have problems for 2 weeks or more contact your doctor and/or Military One Source.

I have had the same problem today. My soldier is there too and I haven't heard anything from him either and I typically do everyday. My thoughts and prayers are with you and know that you are not alone, I am usually really strong but today was very difficult. Take care.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received an email from my solider today he is doing okay and looking forward to his leave in 4 months!!!!!Thank you for helping me through the last 24 hours .... x
