hello - i'm new here and am checking in. I am new to the military, my husband and i just got married in july and obviously this is my first deployment. i'm glad to be here.
Hello! I went to college for 7 years to be a school counselor, was a high school counselor for one year...then moved with my husband to the middle of no where. Been jobless ever since. It's frustrating to work so hard and spend so much money on school and then not even be able to use your degree! But, I'm THRILLED to be with my hubby again! He has been in for a little over a year... Nice to 'meet' you all! Excited to learn lots!!!!
Well, I figured I should check in while I am at it!
In addition to trying to understand the Active duty Navy life for the sake of my marriage, I am also a member of the OHANG, and a full-time student at OSU.
It is overwhelming how awesome everyone has been so far, this is probably the most support i have felt since my husband left. So glad I found the forum!
Hi everyone. My name is Renae and I am currently living in Colorado. My husband left Monday to go to Iraq for the second time, and I already miss him. Sigh Anyway, I look forward to meeting everyone!
My name is Shannon, and my boyfriend is in AIT. I don't know what else to say other than that! I hope to be able to converse with ya'll, and maybe find some new friends!
I'm checking in. My husband enlisted in the USAF and ships on Dec 12 for BMT. We have been married 7 years and have a one year old son. Looking forward to learning some of what military life is like and getting to know you all!
Suppose I should say a little about myself too. I am married to a wonderful man who is in basic training in the Air Force. We have one son who is our greatest accomplishment.
I am also new to the forums here. My boyfriend is in the army and getting ready to head to Iraq this next week for his first deployment. I came here to have some like minded ppl to chat with and gain some perspective on things. Thx for the warm welcome!
I'm all around new ---> new wife.. and husband just left for AF basic two weeks ago.. So I'm looking for people to subside my anxiety. I'm usually a pretty strong woman, but this is definately different and I'm realizing really quick the normal people I rely on, really aren't what I need!
