my father served from 1946-1968, and i have been trying to put some stuff together in a display to honor my dad. i got his records, dd214s, and its hard to make head or tails of it all.was he in combat? why didnt it show his first enlistment in 1944, he was underage and was in over a year. he reenlisted in 46 when he turned 18. he never talked much wth me about his time in military but talked to my mom a little. from what she tells me it sounds like he was in combat but cant tell if it sais so on 214s. can anyone help me?

You may want to try over in the forums for his branch. I'm assuming Army? So, post over in the Army forums. This area is mainly spouses, girlfriends, family, etc.
