I have so much information and desire to write something and no clue where to begin. Looking for direction, information, sources anything...wanting to write something obviously military related, but cant decide where I would like to begin. Either deployment related and what life is like at home, kids repercusions, pretty much broad spectrum, it's all in my head, but I cant get it out!! Any help would be great, Thanks.

Start with writing in a journal daily. It will help you develop your "voice" or style of writing. Then start submitting pieces to various websites, newspapers, magazines that print that type of story/article.

You might even want to take a writing class at your local college or adult ed center.

It's fun - I've had things published through the years and it's always a kick to see your article somewhere.
