Hunter leaves on Monday for a youth mission trip to D'Iberville, Mississippi.

Apparently, they suffered a lot of damage from Hurricane Ike, and again in the recent flooding problems.

The kids will either be helping with clean-up and demo from damage or with rebuilding & repairing.

They are excited about the trip & looking forward to helping out. My son Hunter (13) is going on the trip. They fly out Monday. This will be Hunters second flight........ the first was only a 4 seater plane (during which he was terrified). Of course, Monday he'll be on a big commercial flight.....

Please pray for Hunter and his youth groups safe travels as well as their mission - that they are able to accomplish a lot to help the folks in D'Iberville and surrounding damaged areas.

God bless you!
Amy

Well, our youth group and adult volunteers left the church this morning at 6:30 AM EST. They fly out around lunch time........... on their way to Mississippi.

Hunter says he's not nervous (I don't believe him). But, he's also excited....

~~~praying~~~
God bless!
Hunter called me last night at 10:30 EST, and said they had arrived at their destination. He said the flight was "fun." So, no more worries about him flying. He did not sound tired at all, despite having flown half the day and ridden in a car the rest of it....... He sounded excited, if anything.
This morning, bright and early they should be getting to work. I still don't know exactly what type of work they are doing. Now that I know they are safely there, please pray that God will use them to help the people most in need in D'Iberville, Miss.
God bless you!
Amy
I talked with the youth leaders wife today... she says they have been demolishing wet drywall in flooded homes. They have also torn apart an old flood-damaged barn and hauled it away.
She said the kids were working hard, and are tired... I haven't heard from Hunter since the first night there. I'm anxious to hear what he has to say.
The fly home tomorrow. Please pray.
God bless you!
