The G20 countries plus a few enjoying the special relationship with U.S.

Note:

1). The number after the GDP, Population and Area figures is the ranking in the world.

2). The percentage after the Military Size and Spending is the one to the Population and GDP, respectively.

According to the CIA World Factbook...(your source)...the Chicoms spend 4.3% GDP on military expenditures, the U.S. only spends 4.06%

Wow...and that's only what the Chicoms are willing to publicly admit too.

Just think how much it really is?!?!

I bet it's closer to 3x or 4x that amount...making it more like 12-15% GDP. Eek

let see by your estimate if china spend 3 to 4 time amount BY CIA FACTBOOK Roll Eyes then china budget is what 150-200 billion (1.3 billion people)? while US budget is what 650 billion( 300 million people) this year even when we are in debt?? US budget is possibly more than this due to other fees (my estimate too)

What does military expenditure per % of population have to do with GDP?

All you're doing is confirming what we already know, American citizens on average make more money that Chinese citizens.

GDP is the total market value of all final goods and services produced in a country in a given year. Population has absolutely nothing to do with it...nor does total land mass in case you were wondering.

Bottom line, the Chicoms put far more into the military complex than they are willing to publicly admit to. They are easily spending $250-300 billion per year...(and probably a lot more)...while only admitting to half that amount.

This lack of transparency is why most of us don't trust them. Their motives are not benign, it's as simple as that.

Class dismissed. Smile
