I reread my post Freddie and I can damn sure see why someone might think it was somekinda scam LOL!! Though its very true and I am just a real person. Gotta say I was disappointed that you actually responded to my post but not to the very real content. That's OK, I got my answer on another post of who I can contact to request changing the terms of my DD-214. The /my story is truely one of a naive kid that was taken advantage of by some suit that could give two craps about me and was just concerned with moving up the NIS ladder! If any real-time military people read this be sure to really use someone for support with knowlwedge of legal matters before working with NIS or any other spy-type organization oh CID maybe? BTW, don't answer this post if u don't want to so you can be sure its not some type of scam Freddie! I don't think scammers would tell you not to answer their post now would they (that'll really get to someone who's paranoid) LOL! BTW, is something wrong with the previous post? Why would "oldcop" or moderator be upset with the post? It is very true, I adfmit I didn't read all the rules but I am keeping it clean. I will read all the rules now just as I should've have. Moderator, I do apologize if I did break some rule, but as I stated in my eariler post I am severely ham, pered by ADHD and this sometimes gets me into difficulty.

OK, now I see a little more clearly. Freddie, you hate "narcs" don't you. I mean, I've read a number of your posts and you seem to be able to empathize with any number of people on issues. My post you were concerned that I was a "scammer" but I believe you know now that I am not. So I can deduce that you will not reply because to do so would out you as someone who just can't stomach a "narc". Well its a darn shame, because if you could see past your obvious feeling about a "narc", you would see I was just a kid as I'm sure you were as well as alot of other young men who gave a piece or all of themselves in wartime or not and were just too naive or gullible to d realize they were being used. There isn't anything wrong with being patriotic, its just that too many times our leaders have utilized that concept for their own agendas, just as I was. I'm sorry if my existence appals/disgusts you, but to quote a artist who was popular in the 70's (Leo Sayer) "I was just a boy, giving it all away". But "I know better now". Health, peace, and plentitude be your as well as your family/friends Freddie!

I WILL ANSWER YOU, AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF YOU'LL TRY TO PORTRAY ME AS ANYTHING NEGATIVE. If you would look closely to your post, you would note that I placed a "warning" to it IN TERMS that you're posting may have been a "harvester" of information. I HAVE NEVER, REPEAT, NEVER SAID ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT ANYONE !! The warning was to other veterans about "phishing" UNTIL one of the "Dave's or the OldCop would see the post and declare it safe. DAVE IN FACT DID DECLARE IT SAFE WITH HIS ANSWER TO ME,AND I THANKED HIM FOR IT. So, I suggest you stay off your high horse of personal ego, reading things into answers that are not there. To say for one moment that any of my answers to any veteran is a negative one is clearly off the rock and off-bounds.
How do I feel about narcs? Well let's see. I have never met one. When I do meet one, I will get back with you. If you have any other issue, please, by all means, feel more than free to address me, for you can rest assured I will answer
Wishing you well and Godspeed
Freddy

"I'm glad that I turned you on Babe!!"

I don't know about the grenade thing, but in Vietnam I did do something almost as stupid.
In reference to my trip to Menlo Park PTSD center. I chose that, even though the VA refused to send me there, ultimately I got there. The reason for MENLO PARK is that it is the GENESIS of PTSD Treatment and centers. It was the hardest to "Graduate" from and unlike others that have time tables, Menlo did not. So you could be there for 1 month or 1 year. You stayed until you graduated. Once you did graduate, you were able to remove your "WAR" necklace off your neck (They had the VN service ribbon laced, Korea, Gulf, so that all vets knew who served where, and hang it on the WALL OF HONOR.
I was there for a h*ll of a long time, unfortunately, and in a few months I am scheduled to return there for a "Tune up."
Menlo Park is one of the hardest programs to get into btw, and many are turned away because of the stress the program places when you apply and get evaluated. Many veterans suffered Heart Attacks there, to give you an idea of how tough it was. Now? I look back at it as the best thing I have done and accomplished. Other Psych admissions? You bet, many.
Godspeed to you and (borrowing your line) Peace and Plentitude. Mr. CHILIWARRIOR !!

I wouldn't term my stays as "unfortunate" only because they were meant to be and I wouldn't be the butthole I am today. Though I can't imagine how you guys in Nam and Korea felt (not minumizing other Vets) but both those wars/police actions were the type where the support of the country wasn't quite behine ya! In other words, you guys didn't return the victors! America didn't seem to be able to handle this situation. I mean, Jane Fonda fer Chirssakes!! Just a little I feel that was kinda not appreciatwed by the navy fer the status of my DD-214. I mean, couldn't that suit from NIS have gone to bat fer me and issueD some kinda something that would've made my quest fer a DD-214 upgrade a mite eaiser! That what really rankles me the way the leaders have no problem utilizing the resources, but take no accountability for the aftermath!! Dammit, it just makes me mad. Good friend of mine Georgie Parfit, came back from the Nam a different person. We reallized that when he wound up on the fron cover of the Philadelphia Daily News in the City Hall courtyard after just having maxed out his mom's CC's and was giving away all the merchandise he purchased on the presumption that whomever he gave the merchandise to would vote for him for mayor (he hated Rizzo, LOL! he couldn't have been totally off fer that LOL!!). Trouble aws, he wasn't exactly on the ballot LOL!! He's married with ten kids now, a BB coach for an inner city HS, He wasd a damn great player himself! Anyway after that incident, I spent many Friday and Sunday afternoons picking him up and dropping him off @ Paioli Veterans hospital! I was just a 16 Y/O kid then, I wonder now just what kinda hell he'd been through. When I finally got a glimpse just what had gone on in the Nam, I was really shaken! I believe the Deerhunter did that fer me. I know the movie was a strech, but it was the first Vietman War movie that changed my thinking on just what the hell went on over there and the kinda %#&*^ you guys had gone thru. As I watched the movie I was brought to tears thinking of Georgie and the kinda hell he had been through! I always wondered, but respected him enuf to never ask. I know he'll never put it behind him though. I still have dreams/daydreams of my time in Egypt in the back of cabs going down streets the size of supermarket aisles, stopping @ some abode with guys in turbans carrying automatic weapons looking @ me like meat. Damn if they woulda known I was out to bust their butts for selling hashish (joint venture with Egyptian police), well.... and not even a thank you that's why I can't imagine what u guys went thru, but I know it was always some kinda personal hell!! Georgie, if you read this I love you and in my heart I wish you peace from your demons!! I actually bacame a psych nurse, and a damn good one I believe, as a result of being shaped by my life's experiences, and having friends like Georgie and now I am being educated again, No, THANK YOU MR. FREDDIE, AND ALL YOU GUYS WHO " GAVE IT ALL AWAY" BASED ON THE IDEA OF SERVING US!! I, no, we, WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOUR DEBT I am in tears now as I write this. MAY YOU REALLY FIND PEACE MR. DAMN FREDDIE AND ALL OF YOU GUYS WHO WE OWE BIG TIME!!
