i didn't get burned by a .222 shell casing of an M-16 like a friend of mine from his fellow soldier M-16 next to him firing his M-16.yet I walked over 20 mile from subic bay naval base to san miguel naval communications base and it toke me 51hours to walk it due to people asking me for help to pull out mostly dead bodies been purple to gray or white from caved in house's and buildings, teeing all this all i could think my son 2 yrs old, daughter 4 yrs old,and my wife been dead and looking like all the other dead people i helped, and my family just saying DADDY IS COMING TO THE RESCUE,no matter how much i ran,i got tired and stopped by phillipine nationals asking for my help,i sweat most of the night having nigtmare of things that happen to me enroute to my family in san miguel naval base,i can FEEL the kid holding my right arm to help him then him asking me to WAKE UP HIS DEAD MOTHER,which i couldn't,and just wanting to get to my own family, another thing i have nightmares about is picking up a piece of roofing to pull out the lady under it,and when i lifted it up,her chest came up to exposing a mohagany 2x4 shove up her stomach to her chest and she was all purple, the shock i still re-live alot, still no matter how hard i tried to get home to my wife and kids, people still asked for my help, and i just wanted to go on my way.
for yrs i thought i just had a memory problem but turned out to me D.I.D better known as MPD multiply personality disorder.
for the soldier that got a purple heart for getting burn by a shell casing of an M-16,the burn has healed, yet my mental problem will continue for the rest of my life, yes i am 100% DAV now,but for over 5 yrs i have tired to get a GPS for my suburban cuz i got a mental problem of thinking i'm still and the Navy, and AWOL and keep on driving toward my old duty stations and ships thats part of my MPD,and i when i take over my body again again i have found myself well over 200miles away from home, not know where i am or how i got where i am at,i live in natalia,tx and once i found myself in orange,tx the th LA.state line, pulled into a restuarant and asked where i'm at and all the waitress said your in Lubies cafeteria, why not just say planet earth, but after i asked her which way to san antonio she said west about 200+ on the other side of houston, first thing in my mind was oh sh*t don't even know if i got money for gas to make it back home, and don't even know how i got gas to get there in the first place, yet i did find a small amount of money in my pocket, and i remember running out of gas and money in columbus,tx,a tow truck came along thank god it was a vet.and understood my problem,he got me gas and gave me money to get enough gas to get home.thank god it was a vet ,cuz asking a cop for help is not the right thing to do,only get u into a state mental hospital, car inpounded.well after over 5yrs of trying to get a GPS that the garmin gps co. is willing to re-program it if i ever get one from the VA with every route to all my duty stations and ships to take me home instead, free of charge,t-mobile has helped me with a bluetooth phone that will work with the GPS that will be programed if i go over 50miles away from home to auto-matically call my wife to help me take controll of my body again.
VA hosp. in sa,tx is fianlly taking it for action, but it will take about 6 month for a response,if approved has to go up to Washington DC for approval hope its from HQ VA or the Nav,so i'm looking at over another yr b4 i get it by then i won't have any more kids at home to help me travel as they are tired of doing already out of 5 kids only got tired twins at home helping me,and my wife that homeschool them so they can be of help to me to.

You deserve a PH as well as your wife, the torment, pain, emotional toll and so much more unlisted you both have endured, not to mention your children and how they have suffered as well, and most likely in silence. My Children suffered as well and the pain cut just as deep, so while I was treated, like a revolving door with the psych ward, they received nothing. so I say...A PH for you, a BS for your wife AND a commendation medal to the kids for holding the family unit together, love knows no bounds, and God has blessed you with quire an extraordinary family
God Bless
Your Vet in arms.
