I was in 1973-1977 One of our ole sayings was (Comm. Gets Screwed Again) it sure seemed like everybody had it out for us comm. guys. I also sent a new guy over to supply to get us a T-R-E-E and a S-T-O-N-E He went and after a few trips they finally told him that we were messing with him there were no hard feeling's Semper Fi

New 2851s, AvRadRepMen, were told to 'blow out the VFO line' to clean up x-mit/rcv signal. The Variable Frequency Oscillator line was a coax cable about 6 or 7" long.

When the AN/TYA-11's radios, four AN/GRC-112 and an AN/GRC-134, went spastic, we used the phrase 'Code: Blue' to let everyone know the comm gear was acting up. SNAFU
