What did this MOS change to? I served from 77 to 83, went to boot camp at Diego graduated platoon 1116 in March 78, went to school at the 29 desert resort and was stationed at Cherry Point, Okinawa and Albany for my last 3 years. Give me a shout if you remember me.

2542 got folded into the 4066 MOS in 99 or 00. The 4066 MOS went away a few years ago and split into 0651, 0653, and 0656. 0653 is DMS operator, and DMS is the sucessor to AUTODIN.

Thanks thorin001. I assuming the duties are the same? AUTODIN, that's the first time I've heard that in a long time. I loved my MOS and was pretty good at it. My skills have translated very well to civilian life. I've been a Business Manger in a hospital for over 23 years and one of my duties is keeping the IT systems running. Once again, thanks for the info
