I am currently an ET1 in the Coast Guard and I am trying to plan my carrer out. I recently went to the gocoastguard.com site and realized that the degree that I was planning on pursuing, Electronics Technology was not listed. Has anyone ever heard of a person getting accepted into the DCE program and not having a degree listed on the site?

Joe,

Check out 4.F.3.b of the Coast Guard Recruiting Manual CIM 1100.2E. It has everything you need to know about the qualifications for DCE and degree fields. Plus, GOCOASTGUARD.COM doesn't list all of the degree fields from the Recruiting Manual. Run your degree requirements against that of other degree fields and you may find that some schools just name the degree differently.

Strat sends...

Not a bad subject matter to bounce off of your RFMC either.
