I have a question for anyone that can help or know someone that can help me. I was in the Army for 6 1/2 years I was a SSG and I got out on a family separation chapter. It was a honorable discharge and I can go back in after 2 years of separation, which will be on March 08. I have received my Associates degree since being out and I want to re-enter as an officer. I would like to know how difficult it will be to accomplish this and do I have to get a waiver if I have a 10% service connected disability for my back.

I looked on the CG recruiting website and came across this
quote:
Applicants with six or more years of non-Coast Guard active duty service are not eligible.

You also have to have a bachelor's degree. I would double check with a recruiter, they have the latest gouge.
