I'm going to go pick my job tomorrow for the Air Force Reserves. I was originally going to join the Reserves this past summer but I didn't. Well I am going to now but the job I really wanted (Operations Management) job is no longer available for my Reserve Base. So now I have to pick some other job. What jobs did you guys pick or like? What would you recommend?

Note: I'm a 19 yr old female who likes computers and guns. Lol

First, what to NOT do. You did not mention maintenance - that is a long tech school and unless you really were interested...

You mentioned guns but I would avoid security because you did not mention criminology, standing around the flightline in the sun, etc.

You want to pick something that is involved with airplanes since the AF does a lot of that. You could go for comm maintenance (always needed and leads to civilian opportunities) or airfield manager or logistics plans.

You said that you started to go in and then did not - makes me wonder if you are still undecided. Try something reasonable and if, after you have been in a while, you still like it - go for the other job or see if you have found the perfect one by then.
