Hello,

I'm a college student who has been in the reserve almost 4 years of my 6 year contract.

My question is regarding my unit's new training paradigm. They skip drills for some months and then have "8 drillers" in other months that start Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

This is difficult being a student because I miss all of my Thursday and Friday classes etc.

Anyway, some of the old guard in my unit says they can't require us to come any earlier than 1600 on Friday, and anything before that can be recommended but not required.

Does anyone know the actual rules? Is there a place a I can go (besides my admin) to inquire about some of the actual policies and mandates regarding reserve obligations?
