My husband just finished AIT for 68W (Combat Medic) He is also enrolled full time in college. We were told as long as he was enrolled for ROTC he was non deployable. We are now finding out only if he is in SMP( its the last 2 semesters of ROTC) that he will be non-deployable. His reserve unit is deploying (of course!) My question is is there a regulation I can get a copy of that states what really makes him non deployable.
He is not trying to get out of filling his contract. He is trying to become an officer first though and needs a few more semesters of class before he can transfer from enlisted.
Thanks for any help.

Hope you get it all fixed!! I don't know much but I do remember when I spoke to an Army Reserves recruiter that I heard something about not being able to deploy until a certain time. Try to find the paperwork!! I sure hope you guys didn't get lied to.

Good Luck!!
