Excellent question, I have been gone from the Army for four years now. In the old days we filled out a 4187 to request an MOS reclass. There were some pre conditions though, such as Critical job skill (needs of the Army) also something called an in/out call for your rank and skill level. Keep in mind you must score well on your ASVAB, PT, and Marksmanship cant be flagged for overweight or any disaplineary reasons etc. Ask you Retention NCO....Its worth a try
