Great article! As a military brat (my father was career Army), I can relate to staying in bases for two years, then going out of country to places like, Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Germany, etc. Never really having roots planted in one place. I'd like to share a story: While stationed in Okinawa (Ft. Buckner), we got our marching orders to go the Ft. Ben Harrison, IN. At the time we were hit by a massive typhoon. Delayed our stay there. Since we were cleared out of base housing, had to stay at friends home, w/o electricity, plumbing. Then mopping up the flooded floors. Like all military families, we are conditioned to deal with the hardships. Again, great article!
