This had me in stitches and so reminded me of my first military ball. I was just 18 and had no idea, so I wore a plain cotton dress. When we got there, I fel so underdressed that I wanted to die. And then gravy dripped on the dress, and it being cotton it soaked it right up...

But hey, it can only get better from here
