I'm sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place but I really needed a group that could answer my question.
I'm a proud AF Brat, my Dad was in for 27 years. I made friends over the years that I've lost contact with. For a very, very long time I have been looking for an old friend that was/is USAF. He was very special to our family. This is my frustrating problem and it's a sensitive issue. I think he may be interred at Arlington National Cemetery. I have searched interment records and he's listed at Arlington. He has a very common name so before I say my prayers for him I need to verify. I have looked all over the Internet for Official Death Announcements of Active Air Force personnel etc. I have spent hours and hours trying to find an obituary or some kind of announcement. When an active military person dies does the Air Force send notification to somewhere like the Air Force Association media or some other military media? The date of death is 1999 so it would probably be archived. Does someone out there know where I can obtain this information so I know whether or not to keep hope? Please help me. I would so greatly appreciate it. My direct email is dsherrill@bellsouth.net. Thank you so much for reading this. This message has been edited. Last edited by: AFLadyBrat, |
