oh no it's not a myth, your mother did stay 6 weeks at the lodge just like I stayed 4 weeks at the lodge a few months ago with my 4yo and 2yo. I just came back from 3 years in Japan and of course the Navy sent me to Washington State without a husband. So I ended up spending 4 whole weeks at the Lodge before I could move into my apartment. while not the most luxurious acommodation, like you say they are used to families being there for a long while so their attitude is different. for me it was a blessing as I have no clue how I would have spent those 4 weeks somewhere else.
