WASHINGTON - GOP presidential nominee John McCain has past connections to a private group that supplied aid to guerrillas seeking to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua in the Iran-Contra affair.

The U.S. Council for World Freedom was part of an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.

Problem with playing in the mud is that you often will get muddy as a result.

The U.S. Council for World Freedom was the front for the selling of arms to Iran to raise money for the Contras.

John McCain served on their board till he claims he resigned.

Funny thing is no one in that org can recall him ever resigning.

Nope not at all. Obama was 8 when Ayers was in the weatherman. McCain was an adult when he became involved with death squads and Keating. See the difference?

Yes. One attached himself to an America hating terrorist, and the other sought to end the threat of Soviet sponsored communist expansion in this hemisphere because he loves America.

For people to attack a person based on who they may know or may not know just shows that you aren't interested in the issues, but more interested in who screwed who. You would more than likely be best suited for People Mag.

I guess all things are possible, but the organization wasn't founded until 1950's. Of course being anti-communist agree's with your theory of being join at the hip with nazi's. I don't remember a large movement during that time period.

Secondly from the stories yesterday and today, subtle changes have been made to get it back on the boards. Nothing was illegal by supporting the Contra's in the early 80's. We pointed out yesterday the Bolan bill wasn't secured untill 1986-1987. Notables that you may be acquainted with, Kerry, Bradley and Dodd, voted for funding during the early 80's.

Here's da deal peoples.

Both men have some dirt and cobwebs and it is fine to expose them but they are the only 2 viable candidates running for President.

They should be talking issues, positions and plans if elected.

Unless something new and dramatic surfaces these attacks on character and pass associations are a waste of air and bytes.

dmuhler I know you are a die hard Obama lover and that's your right to go for whoever you want. BUT.. If Obama does win this election next month, and I'll admit unless some things make a BIG change in the next few weeks he will in fact be the next President of the United States.

I don't know exactly how long it will take him once he is in office to get his Change for this Country in place, but once he does and the USA starts looking more and more like the USSR I don't want to see you complain on here at all, I want you to Praise him for it okay.

Not at all, because McCain was exonerated of all charges and Obama is now hangin' with the gang.

Michelle worked at Sidley Austen Law Firm with Ayers' wife Bernadine Dohrn. Obama met Michelle there.

Straight out of law scool Ayers chose Obama to chair his special project, the Annenberg Challenge.

There's more. Wanna see it?

I see them moving to a trailer park in Crawford Texas to facilitate weekly burnings of GW Bush in effigy.
