McCain telling one of the young gentlemen in the audience who asked a question that he "probably has never even heard of Freddie or Fannie" was also pretty good...

Anyone know the size of the fine? That one has to be worked on by Saturday Night Live. Hell, maybe somebody does know. Anybody? Pro or con Obama, sound off!

McCain is proving Obama the empty suit he's always been.
Facts by McCain over rhetoric by Obama... way to go Senator McCain! |

Are we watching the same debate? |

I have no idea what you're watching but I've been watching McCain answer the question while Obama twists, spins and shows himself clueless of facts. |

Sorry, I don't drink Kool Aid... that's for the Obama lemmings who can't admit the 'one' hasn't a clue, a plan or articulate his beliefs, values or opinions without a carefully scripted teleprompter to keep him on track. |

I tell you what: We are both leaning different directions coming into this debate. Neither of us would agree on how this debate has been. Isn't it great? I guarantee Obama comes out on top with this one though. Wait for the pundits |

I Salute You Captain McCain! I would have been proud to have prepped or maintained your jets anywhere...anytime. |

"Sack up honky tonk." |
You have a short time to clarify that statement hoss. |

if i remember correctly, it was how obama prefaced his second or third response. when the text becomes available...i'll clarify further. are you concerned with the accuracy of the unquoted reference or with some conclusion you read into the statement itself... because i was surprised to hear obama refer to the event as being remembered by "some" people... |

upp...
i re-read what i wrote. i can see how it could be easilly read as i am laughing at 9/11. delete the post if you like... i meant to infer i was "cracked up" about the wording obama chose. |

"You know, a lot of you remember the tragedy of 9/11 and where you were on that day and, you know, how all of the country was ready to come together and make enormous changes to make us not only safer, but to make us a better country and a more unified country.
And President Bush did some smart things at the outset, but one of the opportunities that was missed was, when he spoke to the American people, he said, "Go out and shop."" here is the quote...the delivery is lost in translation. he said "a lot", not "some", and um's and pauses are not translatable. and i got the impression that he had overlooked the gravity of the event itself. |

Good grief. Could McCain have been more condescending to the young African-American gentleman? McCain was snarky and aggressive, too aggressive IMO. "that one" -- and pointing sarcastically to Obama. Sheesh. He surely didn't help himself in the polls. It wasn't a game changer. McCain's numbers will definitely not go up. Was Obama the best ever? No, IMO. But by comparison, Obama was courteous and showed a lot more respect toward McCain, which McCain simply could not make himself return. And that will hurt McCain. |

Anything I post on these boards is my opinion only unless accompanied by documented fact. Know that in politics my emotions is with no party. |
Yes I guess people do view and hear what they want. I watched with great interest and listened intently. Then I watched the after debate on Fox. They usually give more slack to the Republicans. Well, tonight they did not see it as you did either. McCain had ground to make up and according to them and as I saw it as well, he failed his mission. I will not debate with you your viewpoint, but really lets see what the rest of America saw. So far I have heard no news pundit give the nod to McCain. Its early though, maybe it will change by tomorrow. Now on a personal note, and believe me, I can only pray I reach where McCain is as far as age. McCain almost looked frail to me tonight and my wife agrees. I know that he has been through a lot in his life and that could be the case. Yet we made a comparisan between him and my mother in law who will turn 72 on the 16th of this month. She has pushed out 5 kids and not being a woman, I can't speak on how that affects the body. But she is really spry for her age and very energetic. Not to bash the man or anything, but he did seem frail when he walked toward the front. JMHO Anyway I will suffer your outrage tomorrow since I'm closing down for the night. May you all rest well tonight. Goodnight. WHAT WE HAVE DONE FOR OURSELVES ALONE DIES WITH US;WHAT WE HAVE DONE FOR OTHERS AND THE WORLD IS AND REMAINS IMMORTAL |
