Can any of you help direct me to a source for this unit?

Hi Cav and ALL, Between the veteran/historians here, and the veteran Scouts on the Imjim River page, I can safely say you have brought joy to an Imjin River Scout veteran who thought the Scouts were forgotten. I can not imagine the sorrow he must have been feeling, thinking that all those he served with had become Unknown Soldiers.

Imjin Scout was not a specific unit, but rather a title bestowed upon those Soldiers who had completed a tour of duty on the Demilitarized Zone in Korea. I earned my certificate in 1989.
www.imjinscout.com is a great resource for him to check, and I will list some books written about the DMZ (though I don't think any of them actually use the term "Imjin Scout").
