Found this while surfing the web yesterday. Have posted to other forums hoping to be able to help someone out. Explains the VA claims system from start to finish, appeals, UI, PTSD, and others.

Should answer a lot of questions for you. It did me.

Please contact a qualified veterans service officer to assist you. The basic form needed for CUE is the VAF 21-4138. State clearly the reasons there is a clear and unmistakenable error. Then submit the documentaion through the veterans service officer.
Good luck

Hello All!
I recieved a letter from the VA notifying me that they are working on my claim for increased service-connected compensation for left eye injury, light perception only and for Temporary 100% due to Back surgery and convalescence.

I was waiting for a letter notifying me of an eye appointment which never came. Then out of the blue, a message on my answering machine notifying me to come to the Hospital in Augusta, GA. (3 hours away) to Mrs. XXXX's office before going to my eye exam which was scheduled that day. Needless to say, I called and told her I couldn't make it and that I never recieved notification. She said she would rescedule and apologized.

Never assume that the VA is going to do their job correctly or work for your best interests. Question everything!
