How do I get a copy of the C&P exam that I had a few days ago? The exam was done at a local VA Clinic, then my C-file was to go back to VARO Houston.

Do I send the request to the VARO or the local clinic?

Thanks, Dave_M. I called the C&P Office at the VA Clinic that did my C&P and they said that I would have to request a copy thru the VARO. So, I did that. Nothing yet.

I was wondering, are C&Ps done electronically to the VARO? The doctor that did my C&P had my entire hardcopy of my C-file and he said his report will be added and then my file will go back to the VARO for decision.

I think I'll call the VAMC here and ask to see if I can get a copy of this C&P. Waiting on the VARO could be a l-o-n-g wait.

It was an EXCELLENT C&P, the best that I have ever had. I just want to see if the doctor wrote what he said he was going to write.... my paranoia comes shinning thru. Plus, I need a copy of it for my files in case I appeal the VARO decision.

I didn't call the VAMC Release of Information (ROI) Office, but I will be there this morning for an unrelated test.... and, I will stop-by the ROI Office and request a copy of this June 6th C&P Report.

YAHOO !!!!!

Here's (below) what the Staff Physician that did the C&P exam, June 6th, wrote:

STATUS: completed

DIAGNOSIS:

1) XXXXX Syndrome, Recurrent
2) It is likely as not that the grenade explosion in 1968, Vietnam, is the direct cause of his XXXXX Syndrome and/or aggravation of any pre-existing XXXXXX.

// signed \\, Staff Physician

This is GOOD stuff. Exactly what I hoped for. On its own, it should be rated at least 50% according to the VA Rating Schedule. YES !!!!
