Are you trying to say you are looking for info about his burial site?
Any info at all. I expect she is primarily interested in the military background info. I am retired army so we got to chatting and I told her I would post for her here. They have little info on the individual and I believe they are trying to do some background work for a family tree, although not for sure. I posted awhile back here looking for military info on a friends father. I got lots of great links to further research and found a lot of info on him as well as my husband's four uncles who all jumped at D-Day. Unfortutely, I has all the info links saved on my computer, which died on me. Any help would be appricated.

Link here to see Lavern Whiteaker's enlistment record on file at the U.S. National Archives. This will get you started.
There are many other paths leading to veteran information and they have been described on this Forum innumerable times, as you recount from your earlier experience here. Someone else might have time to lay it all out again but, in the meantime, you might look back through previous posts in the World War II index of this Forum to see how its done.
